I took the leap from online petitioner to grassroots volunteer this past September, to more actively support FWW's Healthy Farms Healthy Families campaign here in Denver, CO. This campaign currently seeks to preserve the effectiveness of medically important antibiotics by reducing their unnecessary and irresponsible overuse… Show more I am a long-time supporter of Food & Water Watch and admirer of its important work to ensure the safety, accessibility, and sustainability of our food and water resources. I took the leap from online petitioner to grassroots volunteer this past September, to more actively support FWW's Healthy Farms Healthy Families campaign here in Denver, CO. This campaign currently seeks to preserve the effectiveness of medically important antibiotics by reducing their unnecessary and irresponsible overuse in factory farms. Our food production system has become dependent on so-called "sub-therapeutic use" of antibiotics for growth promotion and as a prophylactic against disease due to overcrowded and unsanitary conditions.Recognized for my contributions to the campaign, I was asked to become a FWW Local Coordinator. I'm thrilled to work closely with FWW, its coalition partners, and passionate volunteers striving to improve the health and safety of our food system. Campaign successes to date include: delivery of 2,000+ petitions to Senator Michael Bennet, building a coalition of more than 60 farmers, food/environmental organizations, business, and public health officials, and completing a variety of community outreach events. Since a spring '09 realignment of production and sales resources, I have focused my energy on maintaining existing and developing new strategic broadcast relationships in North America. In 2009, I succeeded in securing for VIZ Media critical broadcast license agreements with Disney XD, Adult Swim, Starz Media for SyFy and FUNimation Channel. I have also continued to oversee all music production and publishing at VIZ.

While supervising all aspects of production of English and Spanish language dubs of popular anime series at VIZ Media, including the likes of Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Nana and Monster, I managed all new and ongoing program sales to major broadcast partners in North America and Oceania, such as Turner's Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and YTV Canada.
