Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining design standards for TEGNA’s corporate communications efforts, both in print and online. Responsible for managing the design and production of numerous TEGNA corporate projects that include posters, brochures, logos, advertisements, HTML newsletters and invitations. Maintain the company website, tegna.com, and employee intranet. Work closely with departments throughout TEGNA to identify their design needs and to develop an appropriate and creative solution. Position requires strong interpersonal communication with the staff at TEGNA’s broadcasting units as well as printers, photographers and writers to make sure all projects are completed on time and on budget. ­­­Website responsibilities require proficiency in both Mac and PC environments, knowledge of HTML as well as SharePoint content management system.

Designed and produced a four-color monthly magazine for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Managed all design functions including hiring freelance illustrators and photographers, conceptualized feature layouts and developed all cover designs.

Design, type specification, art acquisition, mechanical production and press inspection of a 60-page, four-color travel magazine. Developed organizational skills to manage production schedule of editorial staff and outside vendors.
