William R. Pomeroy, former Executive Vice President of The Shobe Financial Group, and The EDSA Group, is on extended leave. Bill was actively involved in these organizations from 1986 intil 2010. Throughout the years, Bill has been actively involved with community and industry organizations, including: two-time former chairman of the Louisiana Business Group on Health and The Louisiana Health Care Alliance, instructor/sponsor for Junior Achievement, served on the Grants Committee for the Foundation for Financial Planning, twice serving on the Pass/Fail Committee for the ICFP Board of Standards Testing, and on the FPA Government Relations Tax Subcomittee. Bill was a member of the U.S. Department of Treasury’s task force on Financial Empowerment/National Endowment for Financial Education task force.Bill has been interviewed and quoted in many publications including the Journal of Financial Planning, FPA Magazine, Dow Jones' Investment Advisor Magazine, Smart Money Magazine, Financial Planning, H.R. Magazine, National Underwriter, The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, The Advocate, and The Times Picayune. Bill was also a contributing author to the book entitles "Tips From The Top". He has spoken at a number of local, national, and international professional organizations and conferences including the Financial Planning Association Success Forum, the Personal Finance Employee Education Conference, and the Houston Society of CPA's.Bill has a Master of Science degree in marketing from Louisiana State University where he has also taught.
