Co-founded a hockey blog dedicated to covering the Calgary Flames from a different perspective.Utilised engineering skillset to explore novel aspects of the NHL, such as using anthropometric data to analyse hockey plays. My main responsibility was to research and bring forward projects to prioritisation that had potential to have big impacts on company goals and key results. Communicated impactful areas with stakeholders and deeply researched users both quantitatively and qualitatively to understand pain points and areas of improvement.Constantly maintained the product backlog, balanced enterprise user requests, and researched additional avenues to impact user retention and increase revenue. Gave thorough feedback through the lens of our customers throughout the product development process from initial design, prototypes, and user tests using Figma/Figjam.Managed multiple squads (retention, revenue, enterprise) with varying product designers and developers to run experiments at a high frequency and ship product features. Aided in helping teams prioritise their work and keeping the scope of work true to the original product designs. Validated initial hypotheses with in-depth reports and analyses.Worked with our enterprise team on bigger projects, including "Workspaces" which significantly changed how enterprise teams use the tool in a collaborative manner. Made decisions on which features to prioritise and which can be scoped out to progress the team towards the delivery of the feature.Initiated a product-wide revision of event data tracking to conform to best practises after recognising that previous tracking implementations often missed critical events and/or properties. Educated product designers and developers on the data tracking standard and upheld the data governance requirements to slowly improve internal data collection. The new data tracking framework saved time for all designers as data implementation became clearer with fewer areas of uncertainty.

Master of Science student under Drs. Jason Carey and Dan Romanyk. My research was geared towards the biomechanical measurements of orthodontic appliances.My thesis involved the implementation of camera systems to take photos and understand the behaviour of orthodontic appliances under torsional loading. This is important in the orthodontic industry as it leads to a fundamental understanding of archwire-to-bracket interactions during clinical treatment. Using the images, we performed digital image correlation (a discipline of computer vision) to obtain full-field archwire deformations and strains captured at a small scale using an in vitro torque apparatus.In addition, I have investigated the arch expansion capabilities of lingual orthodontic appliances and have presented a poster at the 8th World Congress of Biomechanics in July 2018. I was able to share our findings to a broad audience interested in biomechanics. Our group collaborates with industrials partners to provide them with biomechanical data regarding their orthodontic products.

Worked under the Sperry Drilling division of Halliburton.Designed and analysed Geo-Pilot rotary steerable drilling system. Revised assembly procedures to safely apply torque to components in Geo-Pilot assembly. Performed finite element analyses on critical directional drilling components such as driveshafts and driveshaft housing parts. Created solid models and engineering drawings of drilling components and assembly tools. Trusted with reviewing part models and drawings of other engineers. Designed and implemented scheduler tool on Microsoft Excel to help global employees plan and track their project work. Contributed to patentable design to mitigate tool failure during operation by analysing failure methods and conceptualising design changes to existing components.

Researched with the Institute of Stuttering Treatment and Rehabilitation.Initiated a program using MATLAB to change voice input signals for research regarding childhood development of auditory-motor integration for speech-motor control. Installed auditory perturbation speech recording software and hardware, troubleshooting when required. Performed data analysis by developing Python code to analyse mental chronometry data for 8 patients with developmental stuttering and comparing this data to a control group.

Worked at the CanmetENERGY Devon Research Centre of Natural Resources Canada.Developed pilot plant operations to test new froth treatment methods for Total and CNRL. Modified and repaired froth treatment equipment such as pumps, vessels, gauges, and piping. Collected and analysed samples of froth, diluted bitumen (dilbit), and tailings during proprietary process testing. Practised safe workplace protocol including hazard identification and mitigation. Monitored and operated plant control board to make process temperature and pressure changes. Procured equipment and supplies for plant upgrades and additional projects.
