“See me in a fight with a Bear, don't help me… Help The Bear.”Help The Bear is the motivational initiative founded by Billy Parker in February of 2015. Through social media Parker created a platform where a community of people felt comfortable sharing their testimonies and celebrating their strength in the face of adversity. The message of Help The Bear is to never allow circumstances to control one's attitude or the manner in which they chose to live their life. Parker hosts a Help The Bear Podcast where he interviews people who are fighting or who have overcome their personal Bears. Parker filmed a Web Series entitled "The Original Testimony" which chronicles his football career from High School, college and the pros. Parker has been a guest speaker for multiple events sharing his message of Help The Bear.

James picked off 10 passes and tallied 76 tackles, returned two of the interceptions for touchdowns and broke up 12 more passes with two forced fumbles. James was named the IFL Special Teams Player of the Year.

Organized programs in local community to work with youth football players and other local youth groups. Established relationships with local community organizers and made appearances at community fairs, parades and award ceremonies. Motivational Speaker at Elementary, Middle and High Schools, Community Centers, Award Banquets, and Career Fairs. Implemented grass roots marketing program through community events. Consulted with management on Game Operations and helped create new marketing package to reflect new logo and direction of team.

In 2005 was named to the All-Rookie and All-Arena teams as a Defensive specialist and named Team MVP. Tied the franchise interception record with 10 and finished second on the team in tackles with 90.5. After the 2005 arena season, signed with the Miami Dolphins and was signed to their practice squad for 1 week. Was signed to the Carolina Panthers in week 13 of the 2005 season and activated to the 53 man roster for the NFC Championship Game vs. the Seattle Seahawks. Remained with the Panthers and missed the 2006 Arena Season. Returned to the Arena League in 2007, to record four interceptions and a league-high 28 pass break-ups and Team MVP honors for the Dragons. In 2008 played in all 16 games and finished with 71 tackles, 20 passes defensed, one fumble recovery, and nine interceptions while being named 1st Team All Arena.

Played corner back, activated to the active roster for the NFC Championship Game in 2005.
