Serves as Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (Operations and Readiness). Responsible for plans, training, mobilization, operations, and supervision of the various missions and operational sections of the Medical Center (MEDCEN). Serves as the Chief of Operations (CHOPS) during all Emergency Operations within CRDAMC. Serves as technical leader and provides guidance and assistance on new techniques and advanced theories and concepts. Directly supervises a staff of 15-20 military and civilian personnel. Assigns tasks and provides guidance to staff offices in response to urgent and routine requests for information and recommendations on issues of plans, operations, training, and security, current events strategy and plans, command and control, and training issues. Ensures that agency projects are managed properly and completed in a timely manner while monitoring continuity and quality of actions. Develops and executes guidance for the coordination of efforts for post and local community wide partnership as it relates to actions and events to ensure that all resources are utilized properly; there is no duplication of effort and that all of the agency's requirements are satisfied.Analyzes a variety of projected situations involved with mission support actions, personnel structure and organizational structures. Completes projects and studies, which require knowledge of the major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations.Performs a wide range of managerial and supervisory tasks in planning, directing, and evaluating the facility with authority to make decision and commit to a course of action. Participates fully with the Hospital, III Corps and Fort Hood Commander, United States Army Garrison (USAG) commander and or CRDAMC commander representative in the management of the security, planning, training, and operations mission.

Chief, Antiterrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) Division in the Operational Protection Directorate of the U.S. Army Africa and Southern European Task Force with responsibility for 54 countries in Africa. Provides expertise in Antiterrorism, Physical Security, and Critical Infrastructure Risk Management to set the theater for successful Army operations in the USARAF AO. Supervises senior AT/FP personnel in the performance of Antiterrorism and Force Protection operations, surveys and assessments. Assesses Antiterrorism/Force Protection policies and systems to ensure that a comprehensive, active viable force protection program exists within the command and subordinate organizations. Manages the VTER and QPSM MDEPs with execution authority of approximately $1M in support of the Antiterrorism/Force Protection and Physical Security programs. Represents the command for AT, PS, and CIRM functions to joint, multinational, and inter-agency organizations to include AFRICOM, USAREUR, HQDA, and DoS throughout the AOR.
