As the Certifications, Compliance, and Quality Control Manager at Travelife for Accommodation, I guide a global range of tourist accommodations through the certification process, providing sustainability advice and overseeing the journey from the audit preparation to certification. I lead a small team, ensuring we effectively support accommodations of all sizes, including large multi-national hotel chains, in embedding sustainable practices that align with Travelife's rigorous standards. I speak at industry events, sharing insights on sustainable tourism practices and the vital role certification plays in driving positive change within the accommodation sector. I am committed to raising awareness about the impact of responsible tourism and guiding organizations to adopt more sustainable practices and understand their impact.With a deep passion for sustainability, particularly in the tourist accommodation sector, my expertise is backed by both academic achievements and practical experience. My interest in sustainable accommodation was sparked during my 1st class dissertation researching the sustainability of tourist accommodation in South Devon and further reinforced by earning the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism. Currently, I am pursuing a part-time MSc in Responsible Tourism Management at Leeds Beckett University to continue advancing my knowledge.
