For 7 years I was instrumental in creating sustainable change within Thomas Cook, particularly with a focus on our overseas operations, engaging thousands of staff and putting sustainability firmly on the map in over 100 destinations. Together, we've introduced a brand new way of promoting more sustainable excursions through our 'Local Label' approach which at the end of October 2014 sees more than 60 Local Label excursions in over 40 destinations - a great experience for customers and great results for destinations. On leaving the business in October 2014 I know that this legacy will continue and will grow from strength to strength and I look forward to following its progress.

Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Egypt And The Gambia

Responsible for carrying out health, safety and quality audits with accommodation, excursion and transport providers. Updating brochure information, negotiating settlements for customer complaints with hoteliers. Managing incidents and accidents. Representing the company at FTO meetings. Undertaking sustainability audits from 2007. Providing support for the destination manager and the team.

Mallorca

Responsible for 3 administrative staff in the Mallorca South office. Responsibilities included general customer service enquiries, organisation of staffing for transfers and excursions. Administrative support for circa 100 overseas representatives and the management team.

Gran Canaria

Activities similar to the Overseas Reprentative role at Airtours.

A range of responsibilities including accompanying airport transfers, welcome meetings and general customer service based in hotels and apartment complexes in Benidorm and Gran Canaria.

Bootle

Based in the emergency call centre responsibilities involved dealing with 999 calls and managing and dispatching police patrols to deal with these incidents.
