Having spent a career in HR, I started my first Resourcing management role in 2002 and quickly discovered that Resourcing is the most vital role in any organisation - enabling businesses to attract and recruit the right people, at the right time and right price.I continued to develop my Resourcing career when I joined RBS/NatWest Group in 2008 where I have had some amazing and unique experiences. In particular, I have been able to travel to different regions and work with some great colleagues in India, Singapore, US and Poland. This has given me a great insight into different cultures and different challenges that organisations face. At the same time, these have also provided great opportunities to demonstrate how Resourcing can add real value to our customers. I have led teams and activities across many disciplines and brands, successfully delivering national campaigns and niche recruitment hires. I’ve also built up expertise in resourcing technology and led the the design, build and implementation of Workday recruitment globally across NatWest Group.I am now very proud to be leading resourcing delivery across The Scottish Government with a single focus to ensure that we deliver the best possible experience to our candidates, our hiring managers and our recruiters. Outside of the office, I enjoy supporting my local professional football club (the mighty St Johnstone FC 🏆🏆) and also enjoy re-living my own failed football career via my son and his amateur football team. My daughter's love of horses and nights out keeps her very busy and my role as family taxi driver keeps us in regular contact.Contact Details: billy.smith@gov.scot
