Blake started his career in the Marine Industry straight out of college by working in a major inland towing company’s engineering and new construction department at the beginning of a significant new build program. Blake was responsible for several initiatives that integrated new technologies into that new build program before he was tasked with starting up an entirely new business line for the company.While starting that business line from scratch, he realized the need for new ways of dispatching, accounting, and billing for an industry still keeping paper records in the age of computers. He searched for and found the TowWorks Marine Management Software package that met all his requirements. He licensed the TowWorks system for use and immediately started realizing the benefits in his division’s day-to-day operations.While continuing his daily duties, Blake received an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, which he followed up with an MFIN from the same school.Blake was so interested in the idea of improving Marine Management through the SaaS (Software as a Service) model that he bought a stake in TowWorks, LLC and became the COO and a partner in the firm. With TowWorks, Blake can put his idea of an affordable industry-leading marine management system into practice. By adding his 14 years of maritime industry experience and methods to the TowWorks management team, he has assisted in developing modules that allow TowWorks to offer a one-stop source for Marine Management and Sub M Software needs.
