I am the new Media and Communications Officer with the Texas Division of Emergency Management. I will be writing press releases and conducting press conferences/media outreach during weather emergencies and other contingencies that threaten the public.-Wrote the "OnePillKills" campaign script that played during the Texas/Texas A&M rivalry game at Kyle Field.-Responsible for scripting, producing multiple preparedness videos for TDEM on all social/digital platforms.

-Lead evening meteorologist for the 5pm and 9pm newscasts Monday-Friday.-Forecast for seven different markets across Texas including Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Laredo, a population of more than 15 million Texans.-Responsible for corporate communication, including the President of the news division at Spectrum News, during weather emergencies.-Tasked with taking a complicated subject matter like atmospheric science and breaking it down into elementary, digestible nuggets for the general public who can then prepare accordingly for any eventuality.-Produce daily, unique graphics and content for both linear (television), digital, print, and other marketing outreach initiatives for each market across Texas. I play a pivotal role in directing severe weather coverage across the state of Texas when necessary.-Active participant in community outreach programs sponsored by the station including severe weather and hurricane preparedness talks to both corporations and schools, educating the public on what hazards are posed here in Texas, teach tools and skills to the public on how to protect them from inevitable emergencies, and finally leaving them with the impression that we at Spectrum can be trusted.

-Build and present forecasts for three major markets including Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, and Tampa with a market reach of over 15million people.-Front line of risk assessment and management for three major media markets in Texas, Georgia, and Florida, reporting directly to upperlevelmanagement.-Crucial in driving content for CBS News' 24-hour digital channel (CBSN) including on-air presentations, graphics and weather explainersutilizing content management systems, WSI and Lynx.Anchor weather coverage for the 10pm newscast at CW69 Atlanta, Georgia and CW44 Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida.-Create and advance content to support company social media goals and initiatives along with maintaining a strong web presence.
