As a website specialist, I handled the post-build customer review aspect of the website creation process, working with the client to ensure that their completed website was an accurate digital representation of their business and would help establish their business' online presence, attracting new potential consumers to the products and/or services offered.Before being promoted to the website specialist position, I worked as a web content writer, the position for which I was originally hired. I interviewed clients to: construct both new and revised copy for multi-page websites, identify the advertiser’s goal to establish webpage/website direction and relevancy, and write search-friendly copy that incorporates important keyword phrases.I also assisted the department director, when called upon, in resolving queries related to the website build process, customer relationship management, and other areas of need.

I coordinated membership sales and events, brainstormed and implemented marketing strategies and promotional materials, and handled all communications for Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT), a student alumni program created by the UNI Alumni Association.I was also a member of a volunteer student organization called Connecting Alumni To Students (CATS). I served as co-chair of the Communications Committee, with responsibilities that included managing the organization's social media accounts, brainstorming and implementing promotional ideas, and coordinating the publication of newsletters each semester.

I wrote and submitted for publication bi-weekly opinion columns covering a range of different topics from politics to sports to popular culture. Additional editorials can be provided upon request.I also served as the official election blogger for the NI during the Northern Iowa Student Government presidential and senatorial elections in the spring of 2013. I provided consistent coverage of the election, with campaign updates, candidate profiles and interviews, and platform analysis.
