About Douglas Blankenship
Since 1999 (after 12 years in retail), I have been helping dealerships evolve their Internet Sales process as well as train floor sales in the road to the sale. When I was with ADP Consulting on the Ford team, I helped the Denver region increase their overall Internet close rate by 3% in a 3 year period. As the Shift Digital's FCA pilot trainer, my target stores realized an average improvement in Internet close rate from 6% to 13% with a few stores hitting 15% to 19% close rates by implementing proven steps to attaining sales through their inbound leads. With many companies hiring new consultants directly from retail, I can be a mentor for new consultants to ensure their success in this arena with the consulting principals I have learned from my mentors. There are principles to consulting that every new consultant/trainer should know to be successful. Residential solar sales. What a great product. A sad fact about solar sales. The lenders take up to a 30% fee to finance solar systems in order to show a low interest rate. That fee gets rolled into your price. I had a moral dilemma with that. Hopefully this will change some day soon.
