Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in optimizing clinician training and enhancing clinical operations. My leadership is marked by a steadfast dedication to quality metrics, clinical practices, and advocacy for both patients and clinicians, demonstrating my unwavering commitment to healthcare excellence.As a PhD Graduate Student at Florida State University, I aspire to research healthcare disparities and implicit bias through the lens of intersectionality and the Socio-Ecological Model (SEM) framework. Specifically, I am interested in exploring how these factors affect women’s health outcomes, particularly among marginalized communities. Given the current healthcare climate, my research will examine the impact of implicit bias on access to care, quality of treatment, and patient satisfaction among women of diverse backgrounds.This academic endeavor will complement my robust clinical experience as an acute care nurse practitioner, where I have provided excellent, unbiased care across multiple settings and specialties. Additionally, my experience as an adjunct faculty member teaching undergraduate nursing students has reinforced my commitment to educating future healthcare professionals. My goal is to integrate critical insights into practice and advocate for equity in healthcare settings, aiming to elevate healthcare standards and promote a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system.
