Responsible for pursuing commercial, state, and local government business opportunities in the Northeast. Responsible for management of major proposal efforts for a Statewide Health Information Exchange Pilot Project and for the modernization of a State Division of Motor Vehicle Information Systems.Forged a strategic alliance between SAIC’s Northeast operations and a $4.5B firm providing a complimentary technology.

Assembled a team of systems engineers, project managers, and industry specific subject matter experts. Grew the technology consulting firm from a startup to just under $3M in revenue providing systems and software engineering, project management, and technical support services to as many as 40 customers in the Insurance, Health Care, Legal, Transportation, and Homeland Defense markets. Launched a small healthcare product company providing healthcare outcomes measurement and compliance products, and consulting services.Launched a startup company to design and develop a unique night vision illuminator for security, surveillance and homeland defense applications. Identified an outside investor to establish the new company, secure funding and management services, and complete discussions with technology patent holder to secure licensing. Established several community links including student internships with a charter high school in Providence RI; student internships and joint grant writing initiatives with Johnson & Wales University in Providence RI. As one of five “founding business partners” collaborated with four other companies, representatives from Brown University, the Community College of Rhode Island, the RI Economic Development Corporation, and the State of Rhode Island to complete the strategic planning and implementation of the Rhode Island Information Technology Academy (ITA).
