-Led 15 personnel in the support of the LAN/CAN architecture, Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange services, VM/SAN system, and help desk supporting upwards of 1,500 users aboard Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan-Engineered time-critical upgrades to the network architecture to take advantage of existing, underutilized technologies and the provision of real world services to warfighting units downrange-Planned all network changes to include upgrades, updates, and planned outages, for the LAN/CAN architecture, Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange services, and VM/SAN system about Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, with a 100% success rate and 0 downtime outside of planned windows-Manged help desk supporting senior level staff, rewriting and implementing updated standard operating procedures and ultimately overseeing the resolution of over 5,000 trouble tickets-Reconciled inventory of over 1,500 classified hard drives, discovering over 200 previously unaccounted for hard drives and administering the proper destruction of over 600 hard drives on a compressed timeline, leading to a 100% accountability-Generated updated standard operating procedure for classified hard drive accountability and destruction, correcting shortfalls in the documentation and creating a secure process for controlling, documenting, and accounting for classified materials-Hand selected to provide IT training and professional training to both personnel and leadership-Performed improv comedy with Comedy Under Construction in San Diego, CA. Deployed to Camp Victory, Baghdad Iraq-Led server room team consisting of all US military services and contractors from four different companies in providing 24/7 Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, VM/SAN, and DMS Tier II support for the two senior military headquarters in Iraq, Multi National Forces-Iraq and Multi National Corps-Iraq.-Technical manager and member of change management board, administering the SharePoint space used for meeting documentation and tracking.-Assisted in growth and operations of a distributed RAID 10 Veritas Campus Cluster COOP solution.-Led 10 contractors in support of the theater-wide Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Enterprise Network.Substance Abuse Control Officer-Advised the commanding officer of a 1,200 Marine battalion on all substance abuse related issues.-Researched DUI propensity amongst the lines of age groups, rank, and time in service, presented the results to the commanding officer and quickly created and presented a training evolution that resulted in an immediate drop in DUI's within the command.-Ran double the required amount of urinalyses each month while providing a level of direct support that kept the day to day operations of the battalion from being adversely affected.-Spoke to students at the SACO course at the request of the base substance abuse trainers.Deployed to Camp Fallujah, Iraq-Led a platoon of 40 Marines providing LAN, WAN, systems, and help desk support for the senior Marine headquarters in Iraq, I MEF (FWD) and all of Camp Fallujah proper.-Stood as Systems Control Chief, responsible for the oversight of the communications architecture with reporting requirements to the I MEF (FWD) C6 communications leadership.-Developed a comprehensive training plan for the platoon, focusing on the improvement of technical skills germane to the day to day operations.
