Since being made redundant by Pink Home loans I was part of a partnership setup Linx FS focusing on the strategy and business model for Linx FS to ensure survival in today’s market place. Carried out the recruitment, sales training and T&C..We launched our proposition in January 2010 and within 3 months had 32 sellers. Initially setting up under an IFA and recently successfully moved to PTFS. Since the re-launch in December under PTFS has increased numbers to 56 and more importantly increased income month on month

Joined BDS in 2005 as the Network Manager, was promoted in 2006 to Head of Sales and to Sales and Marketing Director in 2008. Main responsibility was the growth of the Network and profitability of BDS Mortgage Group. Key achievements:• Promoted to Head of Sales for BDS within 8 months of being with BDS.• Increased the Network for 17 to 115 sellers within first 12 months and latterly to 165.• Instrumental to more than doubling the total BDS monthly income.• Maintained the income from the Directly Authorised environment in a difficult and competitive market. • Succeeded in the implementation of new profitable business ventures to BDS.• Increased cross sales of protection and general insurance business therefore increasing business revenue.

Various roles from Senior Business Development Manager, Compliance Officer to Head of Mortgage and General Insurance.Key achievements: Managed a team of 40 advisers and achieving target and individual firm growth. Managed the MGM Home Finance project (Mortgage Network) from inception through to successful conversion of over 300 mortgage brokers to MGM Home Finance. Developed the strategy and business model for MGM Home Finance to deliver remote channels for distribution whilst maintaining minimal compliance risk to MGM. Designed and delivered all course material and information focusing on compliance, regulation, market, sales processes and sales skills. Developed compliance manuals for MGM to incorporate mortgage and GI business. Successfully applied to the FSA for approval of MGM Home Finance. Regularly attended knowledge sharing meetings with the FSA, business partners and relevant trade associations.  Engaged with the trade press and wrote features / articles with particular focus on compliance within Mortgage and General Insurance Sector.On joining MGM in 2000, the primary objective in the role of Senior Consultant was to capitalise on the knowledge of regulated financial services, In particular areas of protection and compliance, then to leverage sales opportunities to increase profit and members to MGM. The role included, identifying weaknesses within the sales force and developing proposals to increase sales.As the ‘voice’ of knowledge with regards to the regulation of mortgages and general insurance, the role diversified and resulted in the planning of a new company within MGM. Ensuring comprehensive business plan was completed and successful in the transition of over 300 members to the new company, and maintaining the MGM sales force within the new regulatory regime. This has contributed to a successful change to the organization, and development as well as achieving sales and supporting company growth.

1995 - May 2000 Abbey Life (Bournemouth)By 1999 reached the position of Establishment Training Manager (ETM), holding the responsibility of all of the training and training material to both new Financial Advisers and experienced Advisers joining Abbey Life. As the Establishment Manager I held the responsibility of evaluating, updating and improving existing courses, all business objectives were met, compliance and legal issues covered, as well as designing and delivering new material such as: -• CeMAP, Mortgage code and Mortgage Course.• Business Establishment Programme (15-week induction course).• Laptop Point of Sales skills.• Company Products training for licensing purposes.• Sales Development Course for senior advisers.• All areas of the Advice Process.• Trained the Trainer - ensuring trainers and visiting training team’s present materials to Inductees to the required standards.Managed a successful team of 8 full time trainers always ensuring a high standard of delivery is maintained whilst ensuring individual development, through constant assessments and setting of development plans.Prior to being promoted to ETM achieved the post of senior trainer, through constant assessments and reviews within 18 months of joining the department. (36 months early).As a Financial Adviser quickly attained a top 5 position in the area and was asked to join the training team.
