I started early on learning about people through sales. What motivates people and what does not. The auto business created many different learning experiences from sales to marketing to advertising to merchandizing the inventory. Of course the new car business was at a different level as we dealt with A/R, HR, employee issues, negotiations with Government, businesses and individuals as diverse as it gets. I learned to track and manage a thousand different benchmarks through NADA [Nat'l Auto Dealers Association]. As a business with over 100 employees we became very entrenched in the community such as the Chamber of Commerce, Stanislaus State College, Emanuel Hospital and so many more. All of it was a positive experience for almost two decades.
