CurrentResponding to the 2008 Massachusetts Green Communities Act goal of 2,000 megawatts of solar energy installed by 2020, Renewable Energy Massachusetts LLC develops large utility-scale, ground-mounted, solar photovoltaic energy facilities on brown-fields, landfills, industrial areas, and other under-utilized appropriate locations for utility solar. REM has developed 50 megawatts to date, with another 7 megawatts of Community Shared Solar scheduled for spring 2024 construction. Our solar facilities are delivering cost effective, long-term, clean energy to 1000's of homes, businesses, and municipalities across Massachusetts. REM is a member of the Northeast Clean Energy Council and an active participant in the Massachusetts DOER and DPU solar policy regulatory process.
