I started this company with Jan Kalman in 1987. It was just the two of us at first, I would shoot and she would style and wrangle kids. The first month I did the bookkeeping, the second month Jan did the bookkeeping, the third month we swore never again and we asked Sandy to help us out on a temporary basis. That was 22 years ago and she is still the first.

American Greetings was a great place to work during the 70's and early 80's. It was a creatively driven company then, and I learned from talented people and gained a lot of valuable experience. I photographed for the greeting cards and calendars which meant I got to travel and see things most people didn't. I started as a photographer and ended as an art.

Architecture

All through High School, I wanted to be an Architect, no doubt in my mind. I worked hard toward that goal, and was lucky enough to be.

Art

I love the Cleveland Institute of Art. What a creative and fun place. I have never been a full time student there, but over the years.
