Current PhD candidate in the Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Toronto. Supervised by Dr. Anne-Claude Gingras at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, I use spatial proteomics (BioID) to study subcompartments in the cell called nuclear bodies. My goal is to define which proteins reside in these enigmatic structures to help explain their roles in key biological processes and diseases like ALS, Alzheimer's, and cancer.

Ranomics is a biotechnology company providing functional genomics R&D services to clients across biopharma and synthetic biology. We use our proprietary VariantFind DNA libraries and VERG high-throughput screening platform to help our clients accelerate their product development. We are experts in protein engineering, promoter optimization, antibody epitope mapping, functional screening, and in developing custom end-to-end solutions for R&D bottlenecks.

As a UC don I acted as a para-counselor, advisor, and mentor to over 150 undergraduate students over 3 years. Among many other administrative and operational duties, I maintained community standards, mediated/facilitated conflict resolution, and developed an inclusive and positive community within the residence to support student development and their transition to university.

TA for CSB349 (Eukaryotic Gene Expression). Taught multiple sections and developed content for the course.

Worked on validating the results of a high-throughput shRNA screen for the identification of genes responsible for preventing resistance to gold-conjugated doxorubicin in melanoma cells. Tested an experimental cardioprotective drug on cardiac cells meant to help mitigate the cardiotoxic effects of doxorubicin.

Molecular cloning of gRNA vectors for use with CRISPR/Cas9, Sanger sequencing, and various lab maintenance tasks.

Responsible for day-to-day lab operations for our gold medal-winning project (2013 iGEM North American Jamboree). This included purchasing, administration, project planning, experimental design, DNA sequencing data analysis, and molecular cloning.
