Senior Systems Engineer
Current- Managed fleet of >40 DNA sequencers, allocating tickets to multiple internal teams for triage and repair. Ran stand ups, tracked fleet KPIs, and continuously communicated with instrument users.- Orchestrated fleetwide hardware and software upgrades leading to 20% shorter run times, improved run quality, and alignment with production instrumentation and chemistry.- Troubleshooted mechanical, optical, electrical, firmware, and software systems using software run logs, telemetry data, and on instrument tests to determine root cause of failures. Worked cross functionally with various engineering teams to increase instrument reliability/robustness.- Leveraged JIRA to find common failures throughout the instrument fleet. Owned investigations based on failure data that led to design changes increasing MTBF.- Led various machined and 3D printed hardware and test fixtures designs for our commercial product and R&D projects. Held design reviews and followed engineering design procedures.- Created technical drawings using GD&T and BOMs, and work instructions for instrument assembly.
