Bracin Skywalker originally started out as an exceptional basketball player with the ability to get some serious air as reflected in the dunk contests he has competed in over the years. He was the 3-time Kobe Bryant Academy Slam Dunk Contest Champion. He also competed in and won the Kenny Smith Carolina Basketball Camp Slam Dunk Title in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. A new opportunity was presented to Bracin when he decided to go out for track and field to stay active and in top shape for basketball. Bracin excelled at track and field placing first in his conference and 7th in the state his first time out. Skywalker also won the Nor-Cal and state championship in Long Jump.Bracin took a year off school to train for a chance to make the U.S Olympic Team. He went to the 2012 Olympic Trials as one of the top 24 Long Jumpers in the nation, but he fell just short in the trials. With his new found passion of track and field, he has been training immensely and is expecting to have a spot on the USA Olympic Roster for the 2016 Rio Summer Games.
