I work in the hospitality industry and I strive to successfully provide great customer service to everyone that crosses my path. Taking care of others is not only what I do in my career, but it is also a passion of mine. I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of others and it makes me happy if I can be the reason for their joy! I have been in the hospitality field for 10 years. I started in a bowling center as a mechanic, though I knew I didn’t want to stay a mechanic forever and wanted to learn more about front-of-house operations. After a few years, I moved to the front desk and was dealing more with the public and taking care of their needs. I was the first person they dealt with when they arrived and I was the last person they dealt with when they left. Despite what business you work for, when you’re in that position, it’s important to make a lasting impression. I worked at the front desk for about three years and I felt it was time to start adding to my skill set and begin learning about the managerial side of things. One thing about me is I want to constantly keep improving and challenging myself to bring out my full potential. Stepping up to an assistant manager role allowed me to learn more about a side of the business I had never been exposed to before.In 2021, I was led to a fantastic new home at the Detroit Athletic Club. I had experience dealing with the public and being hospitable in that environment, but I had never been in the private club industry. It has been nothing short of amazing and I have loved every minute of being here. Engaging with the members is something I look forward to every day. There are always new learning experiences that arise and I am a sponge to those lessons. Higher education is important, but some of the best education can be achieved outside of the classroom.
