CurrentDescribing mineralogy and geothermometry of the Chugach Metamorphic Complex in southern Alaska. Using garnet-biotite pairs, we determine geothermometry at relative intervals throughout the Tana River Valley from low-grade to high-grade metamorphic rocks. Temperatures are determined by Fe and Mg (exchange) ratios in these two minerals and using thermodynamic formulas determined via experiments conducted by Ferry and Spear in 1978 (Experimental calibration of the partitioning of fe and mg between biotite and garnet)
