CurrentHypersonic CFD & Aerothermodynamics:- M&S of chemically reacting hypersonic flows (including ablation reactions) in OpenFOAM/US3D to further research of enabling communication during hypersonic blackout- Development of custom chemical reaction models using publicly available rate data- Structured/unstructured meshing of notional hypersonic reentry geometries (Cubit, Gmsh)- Development of routines for analyzing the plasma environment around simulated geometries (MATLAB, python)- Basic thermal analysis of geometries via TTASMachine Learning: - Developmental support of deep learning approach to identify novel features in radar returns via explainabiltiy of ML predictions (saliency), statistical analysis of test results, identification of biases in training datasets- Implementation of pipelines for recreation of Flight-Test events and assessment using Flight-Test data products- Proposal level R&D of Machine Learning & Generative modeling architectures for particle physics experimentsResearch & Development:- Support of proposal R&D efforts in the areas of Machine Learning and UAV Autonomous Cooperation/Geo-locationRadar System Development and Test:- Technical leadership of small (3-5 person) teams supporting Radar Software Development efforts including design and analysis of HWIL radar simulations, analysis pipeline automation, and technical reporting of findings to customer- Development team member for object-oriented HDF5 MATLAB analysis tool set used by Flight Test and Ground Test Teams (~100 users)- Support of Radar System V&V during Flight Test missions, in various roles including Deputy Mission Lead (radar), performing radar functional and performance analysis, generation of peer reviewed test documentation, providing mentorship to newer team members
