For Angel and Genesys I produced more than 100 voice and touchtone telephone solutions for public use, working through all phases of analysis-design-development-testing-launch. Many of these DTMF/speech applications are bilingual (English/Spanish); I can also handle German and French. As lead consulting programmer I supported large accounts in maintaining and troubleshooting their custom IVR applications. The project managers and I produced controlled release cycles of enhancements, with thorough documentation for the stakeholders. Through diligence of thoughtful design and accurate delivery, I helped the company retain and build client relationships. This successful trust led in turn to further sales of business engagements. As a VUI designer I analyzed performance reports, studied call recordings, wrote and edited new prompts, and evaluated measurable improvements. With principles of best practices, I produced detailed analysis and broad recommendations for prompting style and usability. I contributed 11 articles to the company's professional blog (existed 2008-11) on principles of smart IVR design. For three years I managed the procurement of professional voice recordings.For dozens of smaller clients, I was the lead designer/developer or a collaborating teammate: crafting the VUI design, writing specifications, editing audio files, building new projects, retesting and documenting older ones, integrating or converting data, and mentoring newer consultants. Some development cycles used Agile methods, others Waterfall. I developed best-practice standards and reusable code templates within the software-development platforms. On some projects I led the Quality Assurance (QA) cycles for the client's User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Genesys acquired Angel.com in 2013. My role there continued until a round of layoffs in June 2017 (from further consolidations with other small companies). I seek a similar position elsewhere, focusing especially in design.
