Led efforts to review the operation, security, organization, staffing and performance of major detention and correctional systems across the country. Won and managed over $5 million in consulting projects over the last 2 years alone. Our highly regarded performance on this Utah project resulted in an additional contract to assist the state in finding a location for a new prison. In this project, successfully navigated the complex and difficult requirements of finding a location for a new prison when there existed strong public opposition to all potential sites. Also led major detention and operational review projects of the jail systems in Santa Clara County, California, Miami-Dade, Florida, Pinal County, Arizona, Maricopa County, Arizona. Served as the project manager to review and provide recommendations regarding private prison vendors submissions to operate prisons in the State of New Hampshire. For 2 1/2 years managed all aspects of the largest contract MGT of America has ever been awarded. This contract with the federal Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) required quick staffing-up of over 100 correctional experts to inspect every jail and detention facility in the country that held ICE detainees. Additionally, under this contract provided correctional investigative expertise to assist ICE in responding to findings and operational concerns at specific detention facilities.
