I managed all payroll processes from beginning to end to make sure all processes are completed correctly and efficiently. I enforced SOX procedures for successful auditing procedures, source documentation, and separation of duties. I implemented new procedures to efficiently process payroll in a timely manner for both US and Canada. I instructed and coached my team members on new procedures for payroll and company values. I was a liaison for our vendors in the department maintaining great relationships and use of products for our employees. I managed the ticketing process for payroll in Zendesk, as well as our tickets in OSV. I continually maintained the cash reconciliation for the payroll department and worked closely with the accounting team to balance the GL monthly.

As the tax analyst, I maintained compliance standards in accordance to the IRS/state agencies. I make sure our business is registered in states, counties, localities and cities in order to file taxes appropriately. I analyze all payroll taxes in 46 states and am familiar with multi-state taxes and payroll processes. I am in charge of taxing gift cards, filing occupational taxes, multiple worksite reporting, making sure SUI rates are current, taxing leased vehicles in accordance with the IRS, processing payroll for over 10,000 US and Canadian employees, balancing quarterly 941s, 940s, FUI, and state taxes. I process all W-2s and W-2Cs for our company. I also work closely with accounting to make sure the cash reconciliation for the payroll department is accurate and balanced monthly.

In Workday, I processed payroll for over 10,000 US employees in multiple states on a biweekly basis as well as Canadian employees. I managed garnishments and assisted employees with garnishment questions. I worked on prevailing wages, payroll corrections, bonuses, processing off-cycle checks and managed off-cycle checks for terminated employees. I assisted HR in order to complete Short Term Disability payments and oversaw benefit/401k changes in the system.

I collected and keyed payroll for over 2000 associates from several branches in the Midwest region using CRM and Lawson. I managed the payroll for over 10 branches and was the liaison between the branches and our billing department. I kept good relations with clients in order to make sure payroll was completed in an efficient manner. I also had a team in which I would teach and oversee their progress through the week and implement strategies in order to keep the workflow within the deadlines for the company.

I oversaw the production of the billing team for Employment Plus. I supervised the quality of the work for the department and developed new ideas to help make the billing department run more smoothly on a weekly basis. I continued to work through different types of position bills/direct hire bills, invoicing, and corrections of invoices as well as working with Xign and Ariba.

I answered on average 150 phone calls on a multi-line phone for Spanish and English speaking associates per day meeting associates' needs. I also made sure our clients received the services they needed. I logged messages in order to ensure a quality experience and sent several e-mails per day. I became familiar with filling and filing verifications of employment for our associates.

I oversaw the production of several employees and developed strategies in order to push product. I made, verified and corrected purchase orders for the product I ordered. I worked with Citrix, and was familiar with opening and closing procedures. I also made sure cash drawer reconciliations were done properly and correctly.
