I am an Electrical Engineer with experience in the Electrical Utility Protection & Controls field currently working for TRC from my home office in Brunswick, Maine. During my time in this field I have been involved in all aspects of the relay application and design for utility clients including conceptual design, relay one line diagrams, elementary/schematic design, wiring/interconnection design, SCADA system design, protective system/fault studies, relay coordination and relay testing, and development of advanced protection and automation systems. In my current role as Director of TRC’s System Protection and Automation National Sub-practice, my primary responsibilities are related to supporting our great team of engineers within in career development, technical training and growth while ensuring that we provide top notch, high quality support for a broad range of clients in the utility, generation and renewables markets. Though much of my time is dedicated to work planning, workload projection, project estimating/proposals, project financial tracking/performance and interfacing with our clients, I strive to stay engaged in the technical aspects of our work as much as possible. I currently serve as a member of the IEEE Power System Relay and Control (PSRC) Main Committee, the Vice-Chair of the PSRC Substation Protection Sub-Committee and member of several working groups related to relaying and protection.
