I managed Lean Six Sigma project teams within the Michigan Operations manufacturing site for the Site Logistics organization. In one project, I worked with the Site Logistics Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing staff to migrate inventory from third party warehouses to unutilized Dow owned warehousing. The project team also implemented processes to improve operational efficiency.In a second project, I led a project team with the Site Logistics truck center to audit on-site waste and transport containers. The project team also worked with purchasing to optimize lease terms, resulting in significant cost savings.

I helped teach industry professionals lean principles by simulating a factory worker in an inefficient production line. I applied lean principles in the factory, such as standardized work, waste elimination, and 5S, and simulated resistance to lean principles similar to what participants may encounter in their own companies.

I taught young children valuable skills about swimming, water safety, and independence in the water, which resulted in parents being more comfortable having their children in and around the water and I employed skills from training to help maintain a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming pool environment

I supported the production and shipment of decorative finishes by labeling empty boxes to describe the contents for storage and shipping, labeled containers sold to customers, gathered and prepared customer’s orders for shipping, and maintained a safe and clean work environment.
