I was born in Texas, and have lived in places such as Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. I'm currently back in Texas and have been in the state for the past decade where I have met some fantastic people. These people have made me who I am, and have given me opportunities to find what I'm passionate about. I started working in Information Technology at the age of 19, and found a career in it. Having an opportunity open up at Geek Squad taught me a lot about I.T. and interacting with clients about their computers. Conversations about what the customers were expecting, and making sure they understood the typical length of time it took to fix their issue while also including the total costs made sure that any other job I would obtain that required an attention to detail would be familar. Finding a job at Brazosport College and Brazosport ISD helped give me a sense of the scale in a larger facility when it comes to I.T. While being required to repair close to 25 Chromebooks every week at Brazosport ISD, I was also repairing 10+ Dell latitudes a week - usually OS problems, but they would occasionally need physical repairs done too. During these repairs, I was also expected to work with over 50 staff members and any additional problems they would face. i.e. Printer, projector, software installation, and OS related issues. I enjoy I.T. but have found myself wanting to do more. I'm currently pursuing a bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Houston where I hope to work in the CyberSec field, or do something broader with Software.
