About Brent Decker

Highly accomplished and goal oriented Project Engineer/Project Manager with extensive experience in design, analysis and manufacturing of aircraft interior components. Adept at directing complex multidisciplinary project teams for a wide range of technical applications. Experience working within the commercial sector. Excellent communication skills; able to deliver high quality product on time. Highly focused, detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities which has allowed me to excel in a fast paced team environment. At the age of five, I developed a passion for aircraft. I began my studies in the Aviation Technology-Professional Flight Officer degree. I soon discovered I was more interested in aircraft design rather than piloting them. I started my career at Collins Aerospace (formerly Rockwell Collins and B/E Aerospace) as an intern and have developed my skills within Collins Aerospace.Starting as a Design Engineer working on various aircraft reconfiguration projects, I learned as much as I could about interior products. I did my first Aircraft Modification Support on a Boeing 747. This ignited a passion in me to be around aircraft as much as possible. I then supported as many modifications as possible to expand my experience.I took an opportunity to support a different Collins site in the UK. It was a valuable experience as I spent three months learning a different division of the company. After this experience I took the opportunity to do the same thing but with the Arizona facility. From this exposure I transferred to the Super First Class (SFC) side as a Project Engineer. I was met with many unique challenges as I navigated a particular complex SFC program. I continued to grow my skills and expanded my reach as I was responsible for 35 Design Engineers at the peak this project. After the successful delivery of this project, I moved on to other SFC products. The Arizona facility was closed, and I transferred to the North Carolina site. From North Carolina I was presented with an opportunity to return to the reconfiguration side of Aerospace and began the next chapter of my career with ZIM (formerly HAECO Cabin Solutions). At ZIM I developed my skills as a Project Engineer working various reconfiguration and monument programs. I expanded my experience with multiple on-site modification support roles and began imparting my knowledge by training others. I then stepped into the role of Engineering Manager. This allowed me to spread my experience and train others more as I work to expand and enhance my department.

Listed skills include Engineering, Unigraphics, Catia, Solidworks, and 2 others.
