Primary risk, security and controls officer for JPMorgan Chase Retirement Plan Services (RPS) line of business. Part of a larger Asset Management Risk Organization. Represented JPMC Risk Management during the 3-year controlled shutdown and divestiture of Retirement Plan Services to Great-West Financial. Identified, approved and managed to implementation all remediation efforts for risks uncovered before and during the transition. Risks revolved around data and Great-West personnel operating within the JPMC corporate environment and included network access, email access, data security, data encryption, data transfer, authorization and access controls, application and code repository security Delivered 3 years of zero findings for the SOC 1: SSAE16 RPS technology controls yearly audit. Produced over 800 documents of evidence, worked and negotiated directly with the outside auditors and provided yearly updates to the control language  Partnered with application business owners, developers, and architects to spearhead JPMC cyber security initiatives for all 46 applications within RPS. This included application design reviews, open source code scanning, static code scanning, dynamic code scanning, penetration testing, network perimeter scanning, firewall review, access and authorization review and control reviews for all data at rest or in transit  Led and completed detailed application risk assessments and risk classifications yearly for 46 applications. Any control breaks and identified issues were escalated, prioritized and implemented for remediation Advisor on risk and security for all new business initiatives, applications, third party engagements, and served as technology liaison for user developed tools security program (i.e. financial spreadsheets). Supported the business by responding to client security questionnaires, client contract reviews and performing in person client presentations detailing the internal control structures for JPMC

Provide leadership and technical direction for a team of architects responsible for design and delivery of infrastructure solutions for the Retirement line of business.  Designed, implemented and project managed the technology refresh of all RPS external facing web applications. This included new virtual hardware, a redesign of their load balancing solution to increase performance and uptime, and upgrades to their internet security along with enhanced application security Planned, coordinated and executed the yearly Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises for 36 RPS mission critical applications. These complex exercises were executed concurrently with live production environments and typically ran for 2 to 3 days Project managed the in-place upgrades to all environments (DIT, SIT, UAT, PROD, DR) for operating system and third-party application and database version upgrades. (Oracle, Unix, AIX, DB2, SiteMinder)  Support and provide Tier 3 expertise for IT operations incident and problem management for severity 1 issues

Delivered over 400 servers making up 5 environments scattered across 7 datacenters. Responsible for the successful delivery of 181 Sprint IT Operation division deliverables for Day 0/1/100 Sprint/Nextel merger projects. IT Operations Project Lead for all merger projects having IT Operational impact. Engaged and coordinated appropriate resources, managed risks, communicated with and assembled project teams, reported status to PMO, resolved issues and acted as POC for escalation to executive management. Further responsible for the development, management and allocation of the $10.2 million budget for all merger hardware, software, and licensing procurements as well as professional services expenditures.- Worked closely with senior executives and Nextel counterparts to achieve synergies and seamless IT Operations of post-merger environment. This included acting as IT Operational SME to generate list of projects and activities to successfully merge the two company’s IT operational divisions.- Performed direct program management of 15 internal merger operation projects supported by 9 project managers. Bi-weekly reporting of projects status, issues and escalations to PMO and executive sponsors. Project durations were 6 months and included data center upgrades, application upgrades, disaster recovery, email systems integration, desktop application integration, and business data transfers.Operations Lead (2001 - 2004)Coordinated team of project managers by distributing projects and assisting with management of small to medium size projects within the Service Assurance Management Center (SAMC). Further assisted senior management in department staffing model and career development of approximately 60 SAMC associates. Other responsibilities included interfacing with executives by providing metrics and measures supporting monitoring of Sprint's infrastructure and business functions. Act as organizational interface to Sprint's project management portal as well as ITIL advisor, resource coordinator and LOE provider for projects.
