The short version of who I am when it comes to business and associated interests goes something like this… Horticulture is my niche and I am driven to be an avid and passionate keeper of all things green.  Extensive experience in Africa provided a solid foundation of knowledge and business acumen which has helped me build a great career in Australia.  My opportunities in Australia have been diverse but I am now settled in Local Government and derive pleasure in producing great results on limited funding for the benefit of the community.  Local Government can be a complex environment but there is a sense of fulfilment for me because of the challenges and rewarding results. I am able to leverage social capital cultivated from professional relationships to add value and support to the continual growth of our sector. What I offer is strong leadership underpinned by extensive experience delivering maintenance and capital works programs. I am invested in producing excellent outcomes for both the business and community, together with maintaining business brand and reputation.Sustainability is a concept I believe in whole heartedly and will support in any way possible within my power as a human being.  Looking after the environment and not wasting our precious resources is critically important to our existence and well-being.  Sustainability must be translated to our everyday living and this education must begin at home.  Water harvesting, solar energy, building practices, edible and water wise gardens, organic foods, recycling, grey water reuse are just some basic principles that should be adopted at home which builds the education of our future generations.
