Sustainability InternOrvis Sep 2023 - May 2024Sunderland, Vermont, United StatesDuring the 2023-2024 school year, I worked on behalf of the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute in a partnership with Orvis. My team conducted an organizational-wide greenhouse gas inventory for the company's 80+ retail and non-retail locations, and I worked on both the data collection and analysis portions of the project. This work was primarily done using SIMAP (a carbon and nitrogen accounting platform) and also allowed me to gain familiarity with the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the world's most widely used greenhouse gas reporting framework. Through this project, I also gained experience in environmental supply chain analysis, and at the end of the semester, our team provided recommendations to the company as to how they can reduce their carbon footprint in both the short- and long-term. -
