Technology Transfer Licensing Fellow
CurrentAs a Technology Transfer Licensing Fellow, I am responsible for developing marketing summaries for technologies developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. These marketing summaries are then posted on the Department of Energy’s Lab Partnering Service, where private entities can inquire about potential licensing opportunities. In addition to this work, I also conduct active marketing campaigns for technologies in NREL’s portfolio and have the opportunity to assist in additional tasks and projects as needed.
Lead Changemaker Coach
CurrentAs a Lead Changemaker Coach, I am tasked with coordinating monthly meetings and further developing the program's curriculum. Through meeting with Changemaker Coaches on a biweekly basis, I have been able to plan activities, create agendas, and source and integrate feedback into the programming. I also facilitate mentor-mentee relationships and help Changemaker Fellows develop through the program.
Changemaker Coach
As a Changemaker Coach, I served as a peer mentor for a group of first-year students who are passionate about sustainability. By meeting with my fellows individually and as a group on a monthly basis, I helped them find their niche in the sustainability field and provided them with guidance along their personal and professional journeys. Additionally, I helped facilitate the development of the Changemaker Fellowship program through attending biweekly Changemaker Coach meetings, where I provided insights on upcoming meetings, socials, and other events.
Technology Commercialization Intern
The Technology Commercialization Internship Program is a summer-long internship program that matches students with technologies and mentors from the Department of Energy’s National Labs to develop strategies for commercialization. Through this program, I worked with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to develop a go-to-market strategy for a novel renewable energy technology. In this program I also completed a portion of the Department of Energy’s I-Corps curriculum.
Sustainability Intern
During the 2023-2024 school year, I worked on behalf of the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute in a partnership with Orvis. My team conducted an organizational-wide greenhouse gas inventory for the company's 80+ retail and non-retail locations, and I worked on both the data collection and analysis portions of the project. This work was primarily done using SIMAP (a carbon and nitrogen accounting platform) and also allowed me to gain familiarity with the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the world's most widely used greenhouse gas reporting framework. Through this project, I also gained experience in environmental supply chain analysis, and at the end of the semester, our team provided recommendations to the company as to how they can reduce their carbon footprint in both the short- and long-term.
Sustainability Fellow
Through the University of New Hampshire's Sustainability Fellowship, I helped Co-op Food Stores improve the social and environmental performance of their supply chain. I utilized third-party certifications and industry data to create a Supplier Code of Conduct, Product Designation Initative, and other ESG framework. These documents are now being used to help the Co-op make purchasing decisions that best align with their values. Upon completion of my primary project, I also helped the organization quantify their carbon emissions by conducting a greenhouse gas inventory.
Corporate Innovation Co-Op Intern
In the Spring 2023 semester, I participated in the Corporate Innovation Co-op Pilot Program managed by the University of New Hampshire Entrepreneurship Center and Service Credit Union. Through this internship program, I worked with Service Credit Union employees on an innovative project designed to increase financial literacy among college students. Our team met 1-2 times per week to discuss and prototype our concept, and at the end of the program, we pitched our idea to the company's management team.
Youth Soccer Coach
At Soccer Shots, my role centered around instructing classes for children ages 2-5 across Southern New Hampshire and Northshore Massachusetts. Weekly sessions focused on both soccer fundamentals and character development.
Legal Assistant
At the Law Offices of Andrew J. Schultz, I provided administrative support to attorneys in a variety of practice areas. My role centered around answering phones, janitorial work, and copying/shredding documents.
Personal Shopper
My role with Stop & Shop centered around fulfilling online orders via their Peapod program, where I was tasked with preparing online orders for delivery. In this position, I also processed invoices and assisted customers over the phone.
