Check in all incoming product against shipping manifests. Inspect all incoming products for Quality Control purposes (produce, dairy, meats, frozens,etc...) and ensure freshness. Properly date and store incoming freight to allow kitchen staff easy access to ingredients that are necessary to make menu items for Albertsons customers. Perform hourly Q.C. checks for food items and record temperatures, when necessary, to follow proper health codes. Rotate stock so older inventory is utilized before going to waste. Promote and teach proper cleanliness methods for cleaning work spaces and up to kitchen equipment used daily for production of quality food products being offered to Albertsons customers. Make needed menu items according to the Chef's instructions, as necessary, to keep inventory amounts where they need to be. Wash dishes and kitchen utensils, in a 3 sink system and a commercial dishwasher, to properly maintain health code rules. Remove and properly discard all contents from trash barrels throughout the kitchen areas. Write inventory re-order lists for Chef. Organize all storage areas (Dry Goods, Frozen, Produce, Meats, Dairy, etc...) ** ServSafe Certified **
