Sr. Piping Designer
CurrentLead Piping Designer, 2005 - 2011• Led all Piping design activities for the following major projects: Loading Rack Upgrade Project, $28 million, two new truck-able modules for an eight station truck loading rack, a ten car train unloading rack, and new interconnecting pipeway. Sulfur Treatment & Relief Reduction Project, $152 million, new sour water stripper and amine unit. Sulfur Recovery and Tail Gas Unit Project, $96 million, new sulfur recovery unit. Gasoline Sulfur Reduction Project, $82 million, new GHT unit consisting of new GHT stripper, new SHU reactor, various other new equipment & pumps, and conversion of existing abandoned unit.Piping Designer, 2001 - 2004• Isomerization Unit Project (OBL portion); Responsible for the initial layout and design of a new pipe rack from the Isomerization Unit to the existing interconnecting pipe rack, and a new level on the existing interconnecting pipe rack. This area was designed and laid out in a 3D model.• Crude Unit Debottlenecking Project to relocate two heat exchangers running in series, reconfigure the associated piping into three separate streams, add a new reboiler, and split the associated bottoms and vapor lines into two streams each. This project was designed and laid out in a 3D model to ensure access to existing equipment.• FE-13 Fire Suppression System in a gas injection compressor module on the North Slope; Responsible for piping design, layout, and drafting. Project included more than 160 FE-13 bottles and associated headers and distribution piping. This project’s challenge was to gain proper coverage while avoiding interferences with the building’s structure, HVAC system, and overhead crane.• Gas-lift and Gas-injection Compressor Expansion Project on the North Slope; Responsible for one new truckable pipe skid module and layout and piping design of a new auxiliary interstage scrubber in an existing oil production module. These areas were designed and laid out in a 3D model.
