With an extensive trial résumé, Brian centers his practice on insurance coverage analysis and litigation, insurance bad faith litigation, insurance regulatory matters, and tort litigation defense including transportation, medical negligence, and products liability cases. Brian has litigated cases to verdict in many state and federal courts in North Carolina and has handled appeals in both state and federal appellate courts. His trial experience includes cases involving insurance extracontractual liability, insurance coverage disputes, medical negligence, products liability, transportation liability, and premises liability. Brian is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct mediated settlement conferences in Superior Court cases. He is available to conduct mediations in most North Carolina counties.Brian has held important leadership positions within the bar and has worked closely with prominent lawyers and judges throughout the state. Most notably, Brian served on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association, served as president of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, and served as president of the Wake County Bar Association. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the International Society of Barristers. He holds an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
