In addition to the InsurQuote team, managed a team which identified all consumers shopping for auto insurance in the U.S., collecting data from multiple sources and applying business intelligence to create representative insurance policy data. Also managed another team which provided online visual reports and raw analytical data to insurance carriers. Delivered improved product functionality critical to increasing annual revenue for the InsurQuote product line annual revenue from $13 million to $24 million. Transformed the team's project management approach to Agile methodology using SCRUM and Kanban improving productivity and alignment with product management. Initiated Transformation of the product offering from a desktop subscription to an Azure hosted SASSsolution winning an award for the cloud leader of the quarter. Transformed the application architecture from a legacy system to big data while automating manualprocesses, reducing the quarterly data transformation process from several weeks to a few days.

Managed the InsurQuote team providing a product used by insurance carriers for competitive intelligence comparing their auto and property insurance rates to their competitors. Used strong communication and people skills, transforming what had previously been an adversarialrelationship with product management, customer support, and development into a healthy, highlycollaborative relationship. Successfully designed and delivered a custom solution to a top insurance carrier customer increasingyearly revenue by $1.2 million dollars and greatly improving a damaged relationship with the customercontinuing and increasing spend of multi-millions of dollars with other products in the company.

Worked as a software engineer on the InsurQuote software development team. Developed and designed a new product allowing customers to visually map their data to InsurQuote input data, generating a new revenue stream and enhancing the value of the existing product line. Contributed to the development of a website enhancing authentication security and improvedperformance of document rendering by a factor of 5. Created and designed a visual data analysis tool allowing users to quickly analyze trends in shopping and competitive analysis data.

Acted as principal developer of the eCommerce shopping cart allowing customers to create their own websites. Managed an organization of 70 employees including software development, customer support, technical support, inside sales, graphic design, and accounting.  Garnered a reputation of provided excellent customer support and superior product functionality allowing us to charge a wholesale price of 20% more than the competition and winning the vast majority of resellers.  Gained a unique perspective of providing value to customers by managing customer support and handling the most escalated customer calls.  Instrumental in growing the company from 3 full-time employees to 80+ employees earning the company the award of the 3rd faster growing company in Utah in 2004.
