Brian is a Chartered Engineer, based in Bahrain with ten years of international experience in the construction industry. He is well qualified and highly experienced in the delivery of complex construction projects. He can combine his project delivery experience, commercial and contractual experience, and legal knowledge to develop quantum claims and advise clients on contractual issues.Brian’s experience portfolio includes many complex project assignments throughout the United Kingdom, Canada and the Middle East, including oil and gas refineries, chemical processing facilities, road and highway upgrades, residential developments, entertainment complexes, micro-tunnelling, industrial manufacturing and power plants.Brian has applied his extensive construction experience and commercial experience on various contract types; which required advice on quantum claims and contractual issues on significant projects within challenging environments. He has an in-depth knowledge of current construction practices and associated implications for clients from a commercial aspect such that he is astute to their requirements when involved in developing claims or providing advisory services. Brian is familiar with standard contract forms and has an excellent working knowledge of the FIDIC suite of contracts, NEC contracts, and several of the bespoke contracts used in the Middle East, such as those used by Saudi Aramco.
