- Design and implement a 6-8 visual arts curriculum. The visual arts curriculum is designed to introduce and use specific skill sets in the mediums of drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Create and promote positive studio habits. Expose students to the relationships between art history, contemporary visual culture, and social studies.- Develop and implement 6-8 grade visual art lesson plans.- Create visual art assessments for lesson plans.- Design, promote, and implement after school visual arts program.- Display student’s art in school art exhibition and town wide exhibitions.- Submit student art in Boston Globe Scholastic Art Exhibition.- Research, write, and implement art based grants.- Manage middle school visual arts budget, order classroom supplies for each academic year.
