Personally responsible initial creation of the Center and day to day execution of programs in five mission areas. Personally responsible and accountable for the Strategy & Execution Planning for the engineering center, including the integrity of product's life cycle; design, support and sustainment. The Center supports multiple Mission Areas, Advanced Concepts, Electronic Warfare (EW), Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS), Secure Sensors, and Space Systems. Responsible for 700+ Engineering personnel, several department managers and a technical staff. The Center is made up of multiple disciplines to include Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety, Human Factor, Logistics & Maintenance Planning, Training, Publications, Repair administration, Engineering Laboratories, and Field Service Representative. Has signature authority for the Center and providing work products and services in a heavily matrixed Engineering Function within Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. Ensures expertise is deployed and integrated in an efficient and effective manner to meet business and Customer needs. Responsible for ensuring that engineering solutions comply with program specifications and customer requirements. Has fiscal budget responsibility for the operations of the Center; including financial management of overhead budget, staffing management, continuous improvement of relevant discipline processes and tools and enablers. Personally develops competitive, forward-looking strategy and plans to ensure business success and growth and ensures cross-functional collaboration. Responsible for the technical roadmap, products it is accountable for, and ownership of execution improvements. In three years as Director, all programs are on budget / on schedule, including overall Center overhead budget.
