An example of one of my community service roles, I am one of the founding members of the Ah-Mut Pipa Foundation, focusing on conserving Quechan culture, language, song, and dance through documentary films and books. One of the latest ways we work to fulfill our mission is through radio broadcasting as KUAV-LP 105.1 FM from within the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation.

January 2017 - elected as Chairperson of the Board.December 2022 - left the Board due to term limits.January 2023 - appointed to a new term.

Served as Board Secretary/Treasurer in 2014, Board Vice-Chairperson in 2015, and Chairperson of the Board in 2016.

The objectives of Raider Band Boosters, Inc., are (1) to promote music education and aid and encourage the development of youth, (2) to inspire and maintain an enthusiastic interest in all phases of the Cibola Band Program, (3) to help support the financial needs of the band program, and (4) to support the band program in building and maintaining the highest quality instrumental music program.I assisted with the incorporation process, helped develop the Bylaws, and handled the IRS 501(c)(3) exemption process.

The Water Education Foundation, an impartial nonprofit that was founded in 1977 in the midst of a deep drought, has put water resource issues in California and the West in context to inspire a deep understanding of and appreciation for water. the Foundation offers educational materials, tours of key watersheds, water news, water leadership training and conferences that bring together diverse voices, engages with wide audiences, and helps build sound and collective solutions to water issues. I became involved with the Foundation by serving as a speaker on its Colorado River Tour, which includes a stop on the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation to learn more about how the Quechan Indian Tribe is creating value with its water through agriculture, tourism, and habitat restoration, while also serving the water needs of the Tribal community.

Another example of my community service roles, I helped organize, create, and implement a unique means to exposing Native American youth and young adults to Quechan culture, language, song, and dance via music, technology, and mentoring-based relationships.
