Responsible for improving current materials, developing new materials and products, and incorporating cross functionality between R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Current materials include slip cast, clay based Fused Silica, Alumina, and SiC refractories and vacuum formed RCF and biosoluble fiber refractories. New materials include near net shape metal matrix-ceramic matrix composites using slip casting, extrusion, and additive manufacturing preforms.

Responsible for researching existing and new markets, creating awareness, and developing new business from first customer contact to final PPAP stages, providing technical assistance to customers unfamiliar with PM and MIM technology.

Responsible for reducing materials and labor costs and incorporating cross functionality between R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Responsible for reducing material and process waste, performing process documentation, and providing research and development support for product improvement and process refinement.

Responsible for performing materials analysis in high profile accident investigations, providing materials expertise on design review boards, and certifying special processes and operators.
