Registered Nurse since 2001,Earned a BSN in 2013, and an MSN in 2019. Currently attending Concordia University Irvine to obtain a preliminary administrative credential. I worked in a monitored step down unit for two years after earning my RN licensed. Then transitioned to the operating room where I worked full time until 2015. At that time I began my school nursing career. I continued to work in the operating room on a per diem basis until 2020. I am currently serving as the coordinator of health services in my school district. Our district has worked to bring health services into schools to increase access to health. I work with programs such as mobile dentists, mobile vision clinics, public health clinics, and vaccination clinics. As a district we have also worked to improve the quality of training provided to health staff to improve the service that students and families receive.
