I supported the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). I provided engineering support for the design, development, analysis, and testing of the Gateway Power System. The Gateway, a vital component of NASA's Artemis program, will serve as a multi-purpose outpost orbiting the Moon that provides essential support for a long-term human return to the lunar surface and serves as a staging point for deep space exploration.Responsibilities included:· evaluation and assessments of the proposed Gateway architecture· performing maintenance and updates to the Gateway power standards and specifications· performing power quality assessments· power quality verification and validation by test and analysis· assess fault coordination· perform independent verification (IV&V) through tests· designing test setups· developing the test documentation (i.e., plans and procedures)· reviewing documentation· performing hardware and component evaluation· developing and simulating models· data analysis· support meetings and key Gateway technical reviews for Gateway Elements· writing status reportsSkills used were DC/DC Converter & Microgrid Analysis, Controls and Small-Signal Modeling, Nyquist Analysis, Analog Electronics, Finite State Machine and Digital Logic Design, Frequency-Domain AnalysisAverage-Value Modeling, Power Electronics and Semiconductors.
