Working for Royal Scottish Assurance which at the time was the regulated sales division of the Royal Bank of Scotland providing financial advice and products through a regulated sales force offinancial planning consultants based in branches throughout Britain.Purpose of role was to develop and maintain a laptop based point of sale system. The deliverables included pension and investment quotations, mortgage quotations and a customer financial analysis system stored on a local Personal Oracle database.This was achieved by managing a dedicated IT development team building and testing the systems in house. Due to the regulated nature of the system, a close working relationship was essential with actuarial and compliance teams to ensure accuracy of quotations and alignment of the sales process with guidelines set out by the regulatory authorities.Manual testing was conducted by all the members of the team. Regression testing was performed by the team with the assistance of Rational Robot test automation tool.Systems were developed using Gupta SQL Windows, Centura, C, C++, PL/SQL and Oracle for Windows based laptops.

A precursor to todays internet banking.This was achieved by working with the banks security teams, business sponsors and Unisys technical hardware and communications architects. It was developed and tested by a close team of in-house PC, and mainframe developers.
