Serves as the Army Aviation subject matter expert while overseeing the planning, coordination, and synchronization of helicopter support for both emerging and ongoing operations for the Special Operations Task Force-East and its partnered forces, encompassing a combined strength of over 2500 personnel from various entities such as United States Special Forces, Afghan National Army, Commando, and Police units, both in deployed environments and while the 3/3 SFG (A) is stationed in garrison. Act as representative to the Special Forces Commander for aviation activities with both conventional and special operations forces from five different countries within NATO/ISAF. Additionally, offers specialized technical insight across a range of aviation domains, including close combat attack, medium and heavy lift, scout and reconnaissance platforms, medical evacuation, and the deployment of Aerial Reaction Forces.
