As the Lead Engineering Technician on my shift, I deal with more of the electrical/controls side of machines. Assisting the maintenance department with troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical as well as PLC and controls systems. I upload and download to PLC's, troubleshoot with ladder logic, modify and work with HMI's, integrate and program VFD's, work with Fanuc robots, and troubleshoot welders on a regular basis. I continued going to school getting a certificate in Controls and Mechatronics from GRCC, planning on continuing to get an associates.

I worked on the production floor for 17 years, holding positions in almost every department in the plant. I did everything from driving fork truck for the central warehouse and shipping departments to being ASME certified to weld on high end heaters commercial. I also did many jobs on production lines including on and off line repair positions and a multiple repair welder positions.

As an apprentice electrician I assisted in troubleshooting machinery; installing, adjusting, and calibrating sensors and equipment as it was replaced. Did many P.M's and helped with continuous improvement projects. Was enrolled in GRCC throughout the apprenticeship.
